Technical Equipment in the Congress Halls

One LCD data projector, 2 slide projectors and 1 overhead projector will be available for presentations in the meeting rooms. Speakers who need extra equipment should inform the Organization Secretariat at least 3 hours before their presentations. Speakers who will use the LCD data projector should prepare their slides in a format compatible with Microsoft Office 97, 2000 or XP program sets.

Slides: Please note the following while preparing your slides: (1) Slides should contain of no more than 7 lines, (2) 18 pt characters must be used, (3) Each line should contain no more than 6 words, (4) Slides must be prepared horizontally, (5) Slides should not contain large and complex tables, (6) If two slide machines are to be used, vertical and horizontal slides must be placed in separate machines, (7) Slides should be placed in glass frames, (8) Thin/carton frames should not be used, (9) Slides should be numbered, (10) The number of the slides should roughly be half of the presentation time in minutes.

Transparencies: A4 size transparencies should be used with the outer margins of at least 2 cm. The principles listed above for slides stand also for transparencies.

Slide Control Room: All speakers must bring their slides to the slide control room at least 3 hours before their presentation. Presentations prepared in computer may also be sent before the congress to the e-mail address "[email protected]", until April 20, 2004. The date, the hall and the time of presentation must be stated.

Posters: Posters prepared in English or Turkish must be 70 x 90 cm in size and must be legible at least from one meter distance. Posters will be exhibited on the date and stand determined by the Organization Committee. They will be set up for exhibition and will be removed at times specified by the Organization Committee. Personnel available to assist in setting up the posters will be available on site. Posters in Turkish should contain also an English abstract.
